MR. UNIVERSE and IFBB CONGRESS

IFBB President Ben Weider was a big hit at the Opening Ceremony when he gave the Welcoming Address entirely in Arabic

Thirty-two (32) countries attended the IFBB Congress.

The first medical symposium was held and an Honorary Degree in Physical Education from the University of Baghdad was presented to IFBB President Ben Weider.

The Judging Committee implemented a new scoring system based on the awarding of "points" for each athlete depending on where each judge felt the athlete placed relative to other athletes in the class.

IFBB President Ben Weider officially opened the Mr. Universe by giving his welcome speech in Arabic.
