The Parade of Nations

Thirty-one (31) countries attended the IFBB Congress.

Five patrons were appointed to the Executive Council. These were: Joe Weider, USA; Oscar State, England; John Ong, Singapore; Marc Hankard, Belgium; General Bakhtiar Rana, Pakistan.

Four new countries were affiliated - Afganistan, Australia, Guyana and St. Vincent, bringing the total to 87 National Federations.

Elections were held (every four years) for all positions on the Executive Council. Ben Weider, who four years ago, had been elected "President for Life", refused this position and stood for election like everyone else (he was re-elected unopposed). Also elected unopposed were: Serge Nubret (Europe), L. Martinez (South America), Tom Minichiello (North America), and Winston Roberts (General Secretary).
