WORLD BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS and INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

A total participation of sixty-nine (69) countries.
11 new members joined the iFBB in 1992: Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Moldavia, Slovenia, Croatia, Cuba, Kuwait, Qatar, Zambia and the Republic of Kiribati. This brings the total IFBB member nations to 145.


Aurelia Schwarzenegger honored. In a historical gesture for the first time, an outstanding woman was honored for her contributions to our sport and for setting an example of constructive and positive living habits. Aurelia Schwarzenegger, mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger, was presented with a special CITATION oulining her numerous achievements on a personal level. At right – Ben Weider.


The bodybuilders from Germany scored an impressive win in the Team Championship competition.


Andre Charette of Canada won the Ben Weider‘s „Most Improved“ trophy.

The best country in the team posing discipline was declared the South Africa.

Germany‘s Albert Busek, IFBB Vice President for Europe, was presented The Great Knight‘s Cross, the highest honor awarded by the Styrian province of Austria.
