WORLD BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS and INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

Seoul, Korea

Delegates from fifty-nine (59) countries participated.
The following countries were accepted into IFBB membership: Georgia, Iran, Palestine and Turkmenistan.
It was agreed to include a 75 kg category for Men‘s Championships.


Gunther Schlierkamp (Germany) was the heavyweight winner.


Roland Cziurlok (Germany) won the light-heavyweight class.


Abdullah Azman (Singapore) took first among 39 competitors in the middleweight class.


Han Dong-Ki (Korea) won the lighweight class.


Bang Woon-Heok took the bantamweight class winner title.

The Korea was the winner of Team Posing Award, and Fouad Boojaklee of Syria took the Most Improved Bodybuilder Award.
