WORLD BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS and INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

Delegates from fifty-six (56) countries participated. This year Albania and the Republic of the Maldives were granted provisional membership. The delegates at the Congress observe a Minute of Silence in memory of professor Dr. Manfred Donike, a special advisor to the IFBB on doping.

„Over 50“ age category was approved. The national anthem will be played for the gold medal winner in each category at World Championships.

Dr. Eng. Adel Fahim was confirmed as Vice-President for Africa.


Bantamweight class winner Zetri Munir (Malaysia).


Lightweight class winner David Ford (England).


Welterweight class champion Stefan Orosz (Czech Republic) won the Most Improved Bodybuilder trophy.


Yohnnie Shambourger(USA) was the winner of the middleweight class.


Amisi Magne Morisho (Holland) won the light-heavyweight class.


Heavyweight and overall winner Agathoklis Agathokleous (Cyprus).

The Team Posing Award was won by the USA.
