WORLD BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS and INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS

Bratislava, Slovakia

Sixty-five (65) countries participated in the International Congress with 56 having athletes in these Championships.

Lisser Frost-Larsen, Chairperson of the Women‘s Committee, Sandy Ranalli, Jim Manion and Wayne DeMilia had drafted a single-page document entitled „IFBB Fitness Judging“ which established the criteria for judging fitness physiques.

Decided that members of the Executive Council not be allowed to judge at the Men‘s World Championships.

Overall Champion Award be retained but that the rights of these winners to qualify for direct entry into the Olympia be removed. This decision will affect the Men‘s, Women‘s Bodybuilding and Fitness World Championships.

Iran‘s Yazdani Mohsen earned the trophy for Most Improved Bodybuilder.
